She Took the Leap… And Discovered a Side of Boudoir She Never Expected

Tara had experienced boudoir photography before, but this time she wanted something more meaningful than simply adding another album to her collection.

She wanted beautiful, sexy photographs she could hang in her bedroom. Images she could see every day and remember that she is uniquely beautiful.

She wanted to feel pretty.

She wanted to feel pampered.

Most of all, she wanted a day that was entirely for her.

There was just one thing she was carrying with her into the studio.

She was nervous about her weight.

But she decided to take the leap anyway.

And What Happened Next Was Something She Didn't Expect.

Once Tara arrived, she had the opportunity to slow down and settle into the experience.

There was no need to rush from one photograph to the next.

She could take a breath.

She could get comfortable.

She could let the experience unfold naturally.

And that mattered because Tara wasn't looking for another quick photo session.

She wanted to enjoy being there.

She Wanted This Experience to Be About Her…

Tara works in a male dominated field, and she spends much of her life being capable, professional, and focused on what needs to get done.

This day was different.

She wanted to step away from all of that and simply enjoy being a woman.

She wanted to feel beautiful.

She wanted to feel sexy.

She wanted to create photographs that belonged to her.

The kind of photographs she could see in her bedroom and smile at years from now.

This was her opportunity to celebrate a side of herself that deserved to be seen.

She Knew What It Felt Like to Be Rushed

Tara had previously booked short boudoir sessions because they were affordable.

But there was a tradeoff.

The sessions felt rushed.

She didn't have much time to settle into the environment or become fully comfortable in front of the camera.

This time, she made a different choice.

She was willing to invest in a photographer who would give her the time she wanted.

Not because she needed a longer appointment for the sake of it.

Because she wanted to feel like the day belonged to her.

And that changed how she experienced the camera.

“I Wasn't Expecting to Be Completely Naked.”

Tara admitted she wasn't expecting to be completely naked.

But she was surprised by how comfortable she became.

“I'm glad I was that comfortable.”

She also told me:

“I've never been that way with another photographer.”

That wasn't just about being photographed.

It was about trust.

Once she felt comfortable, she could stop worrying about what she was supposed to look like and simply enjoy the experience.

After the Session, Her Words Meant Even More

Tara came looking for beautiful photographs and a day to feel pretty and pampered.

She left with more than updated images.

She left knowing what it felt like to be completely comfortable being seen.

And then she shared these words with me:

“I wish I could explain how amazing you are as a person not just as a photographer. Your compassion for understanding is rare these days. I shared one of your post and had one of my son's teachers ask me about my experience and if she should do it. I told her about you and highly recommend you to her.”

— Tara

That is the kind of feedback that stays with me.

Because she wasn't simply recommending the photographs.

She was recommending the experience.

The time.

The understanding.

The comfort.

The trust.

She Had Done Boudoir Before. This Time Was Different.

When Tara was asked what she would tell another woman who was nervous about booking, she said:

“If they've never done it before, you should definitely be the first.”

And for women who have done boudoir before or had a bad experience?

“They definitely need to try you, 'cause you're definitely... You're different, and I appreciate that.”

Coming from someone who had already experienced boudoir photography, those words mean a lot.

She knew what it felt like to be rushed.

This time, she knew what it felt like to be given the space to relax.

Every Woman Deserves to Feel This Way

Maybe you're nervous about your weight.

Maybe you've had a rushed experience before.

Maybe you've never done boudoir and you're wondering if you could actually feel comfortable.

You don't have to arrive confident.

You don't have to know how to pose.

You don't have to know exactly what will happen.

You just have to be willing to take the first step.

Ready to celebrate YOU?
